Few blues greats are granted an opportunity to commemorate their legacy one last time before they leave us, to perform their classic songs in front of an adoring throng, and bask in the knowledge that their music meant a great deal to their legion of fans. Floyd Dixon was one of those precious few. Less than two months before cancer claimed him in 2006, the legendary pianist headlined a star-studded two-night tribute to his mammoth legacy, an event later compiled on CD and DVD as "Time Brings About a Change: A Floyd Dixon Celebration."

Those two acclaimed releases, first issued on Robert Auerbach’s HighJohn label, are now combined into one package reminding us anew how irreplaceable Floyd was. Along with an audio disc and video documentary containing many highlights from the concerts, two additional DVDs containing each evening’s unexpurgated festivities are also included in this deluxe release.
